I just thought that the top would make an excellent title.. and I was right :).. Just felt like putting it there.. I"m just gonna ramble today.. since there is not much of anything else going on..

However I think I'll beat Paulie to the punch before mass im'ing and mass e-mailing about Thursday's show at The Roxy.. INVITE EVERYONE YOU KNOW.. it's only 10 dollars people!! and worth every penny to me !! I know you will not be DISAPPOINTED! Go show the band how much you care.. and show them how much you support them.. and this Thursday is extra special cause ROB'S BIRTHDAY IS SATURDAY !! WOOT!! hanging around with Emma has rubbed off on me as you can tell LOL.. Dont know if that is good or bad :) Ya all know how much I adore that man. So go wish him a Happy Birthday from me and from you.. I'm sure he'll appreciate it..

Wimmer plays a handsome vet who becomes smitten with Gilbert's character while Mailhouse is set as her co-worker and best friend who helps her do research on her father.

December 2004

Production has started on a Hallmark Channel movie featuring horses and Melissa Gilbert and Lindsay Wagner.

Thicker Than Water is the title of the movie.

The movie stars Gilbert as Natalie Jones, a young lawyer who is shocked to learn that her recently deceased father -- a well respected judge -- was once married to a rodeo queen. Feeling like a fish out of water, the uptight urbanite journeys to the wide open spaces of horse country, where she delves into her father's past, finds an unexpected family (Lindsay Wagner), true love (Brian Wimmer of "China Beach"), and discovers her own unbridled spirit.

"Thicker Than Water" is currently being shot in Southern California. The movie features big sky country, a rattle snake encounter and, of course, horses galore! It is expected to be shown in eary 2005.

Sorry I haven't been around lately.. I've been around but not blogging I mean.. I've been quite lazy ( I deeply apologize ) I've been shopping, going to physical therapy etc.. etc.. And the band is being quite active as well.. Which is all good..

Before Gregg Miller joined Dogstar he attempted to become an actor.. and starred in Sandra Bullock's first movie Who Shot Pat! .. and some of you may not know that the original lineup of Dogstar was Rob, Keanu and Gregg.. and then Bret when they found him later. Gregg left to start another band and to really become an actor.. but no one has really heard of him since..

gee, i was just trying to rally the troops a little.(not that you need
it) the ''new'' line up refers to the fact that we have added a second
guitar to fill out some of the parts we did on the new demo's. i
guess i got a little sentimental about the past and all the changes i
have been through. sorry, must have been the wine. if your all
woundering about keanu, well, he is very busy with his film work.
unlike dogstar, becky has to keep going. we can't sit still for months
at a time, rebecca and paulie have way too much talent to be idle.
they are the main songwriters for becky. its what they do day in and
day out. keanu will always be welcome to play and write with us when
he has the time. lucky for us we borrowed christian from tony's (sexy
drum tech) band. he rock's and is helping us in a pinch. the record
company's want to hear us now before the year is out. so this is the
line up they will get at the roxy. by the way, its all sounding
beautiful.

hi everyone! thanks for comming out to spaceland it was great to see our friends, its been a while.

i cant stress enough how important our roxy gig is to the future of ''becky'' we need all the supprt and turnout from are fan base, which is of course all of you fine sexy people.
the record company's want to see our fans. lets show em how its done.

for those lovly people that have supported dogstar and early becky and now the new line up, for those of you that have supprted me and my musical outings over the years i thank you. we need your supprt now more then ever.

Thanks to my friend Kelley for this treasure of a find..

Born in New Haven, Conneticut. Rob became interested in art at an early age. Being his mom is a renowned artist and his father a theater buff, Rob was introduced to Broadway as a youth. His parents often took him to see shows and musicals. He began playing the piano and acting in High School.

After highschool Rob moved to California to do some summer theater and then to Washington D.C. in the 80's. This is where his love for new wave and post punk began. Influenced by Joy Division and later New Order, Rob bought a keyboard and was booked playing octave mood music at parties l and small clubs.

After hearing The Smiths he scrapped the keyboards and concentrated on acting. He then received a B.F.A. at Catholic University in Washington D.C.
After graduation Rob appeared in many plays in the D.C. Area inlcuding
"Equas" and "After My Own Heart."

Moving to New York in the late 80's Rob was drawn to the club scene. He was once again inspired to play the keyboards by clubs Danceiteria and Area. This time influenced by Brian Eno, Rob made loft tapes which were played at bars, coffee shops, and yes, Andy Warhol parties.

Rob moved to Los Angeles to do a 2 year stint on Days Of Our Lives.
Rob, an active hockey player, was wearing a Washington Capitals jersey at the grocery store when Keanu walked up and asked him if he needed a goalie. They became fast friends and began playing music together. During the jam sessions in Keanu's garage Rob changed from keyboards to drums. As we all know, the band had many different names until one day Rob read about the Dogstar in a Henry Miller novel. The rest is history.

While not playing with Dogstar, Rob has appeared in Seinfeld, Love and War, Picket Fences, Partners, Dream On, Speed and most recently Glimmer man.

Rob has two sisters named Marla and Emily and two dogs called Gus and Millie.

The music that Rob is currently listening to at the moment is: Beck, The Smiths, Jimi Hendrix, and De La Soul.

Remember the old highschool days where you dreaded cafeteria food, and you didn't really have computers and all you did to hang out was to hang out on corners with music blaring out of your big radio? NEttiE'S mother n law.. who celebrates today, a very Happy Birthday shout out to her! and as well as a Very Happy Early Birthday to my daughter Marisa, who is a little Keanu fan, and will be 9 years old tomorrow on October 2nd.. Time flies when you have kids!!..
